Cape Cornwall Gold Rum

Product Description

In 1925, mysterious bottles of alcohol were discovered built into the walls of our Bollowal Farm cottage. Legend has it that to avoid high government taxes, rum and other goods were often smuggled into Cape Cornwall by boat and stored in a farm building known as “the Wink”. Cape Cornwall now honour that legend by lovingly ageing, mixing and spicing their specially selected and imported Caribbean Rums. This fine, cask aged Caribbean rum is blended with fresh Cornish spring water sourced from Cape Cornwall. This provides distinct chocolatey notes among the fresher, grassy flavours. This wonderful Gold rum is consists of a Barbados 3 year old Rum further blended with 5 year old cask aged Rum with dominance from the Dominican Republic.

Serving Instructions

Sipped neat, on the rocks or pair with a fierce ginger beer.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Oaky vanilla and banana and hints of dried fruit and cocoa.

Palate: Lots of chocolatey notes and fresh grass flavours.

Finish: Finish is delicious.
