Glenfiddich 29 Year Old Grand Yozakura
Product Description
A gorgeous limited edition single malt Scotch whisky with a Japanese twist from the giants of Glenfiddich here. Grand Yozakura 29 Year Old is finished in Japanese awamori casks! Awamori is a spirit produced in Okinawa from long-grain indica rice, which, like sake, is initially seeded with koji and fermented with yeasts that have been isolated from all sorts of funky locations, including mangoes, hibiscus, and sakura blossoms. It leads to some amazingly diverse flavour notes, ranging from floral and fruity, to rich and savoury, all of which have been imparted into this remarkable dram.
Highlights
- Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now the World's most awarded single malt scotch whisky, a true reflection of the founder's innovative nature, passed down through generations.
- Glenfiddich Distillery is located just a little to the north of the Speyside village of Dufftown.
- One of the best-known brands of single malt, the business has been continuously in the ownership of the Grant family since they started this distillery here in 1886.
- This continuity of ownership is an impressive achievement in an industry that has seen so many distilleries bought out by big internationals.
- Glenfiddich is also the only distillery in Speyside where Bottling still takes place on-site.
- For 20 years William Grant nurtured a dream to make the ‘best dram in the valley'. With the help of his family, he finally achieved that vision.
- In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone.
- After a single year of work it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer. William's passion, determination and pioneering spirit continues to guide us today.
