Product Description

A rich and decadent limited-edition single malt from Glenfiddich, Cumulative Time is a 40-year-old whisky made by combining specially-selected butts and hogsheads with the distillery's marrying tun, that contains some of the previous batches of impressively-aged whisky. Aromas of dark chocolate, dried fruits, black cherries, roasted coffee, wood smoke and polished leather fill the nose, complemented by notes of fruitcake, dates, raisins, stewed apples, bitter chocolate, dried oak and aromatic peat throughout the palate.

Highlights

  • Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now the World's most awarded single malt scotch whisky, a true reflection of the founder's innovative nature, passed down through generations.
  • Glenfiddich Distillery is located just a little to the north of the Speyside village of Dufftown.
  • One of the best-known brands of single malt, the business has been continuously in the ownership of the Grant family since they started this distillery here in 1886.
  • This continuity of ownership is an impressive achievement in an industry that has seen so many distilleries bought out by big internationals.
  • Glenfiddich is also the only distillery in Speyside where Bottling still takes place on-site.
  • For 20 years William Grant nurtured a dream to make the ‘best dram in the valley'. With the help of his family, he finally achieved that vision.
  • In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone.
  • After a single year of work it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer. William's passion, determination and pioneering spirit continues to guide us today.
  • The bottle is presented in a handmade jesmonite box, each one unique and unable to be perfectly replicated due to the subtle markings of the jesmonite, and each bottle is sealed with a striking jesmonite stopper.
  • 40 year old.
  • Speyside region.
  • 70cl bottle size.
  • 44.6% ABV.
  • Please note: This product can only be returned (refunded/exchanged) within 7 days from date of delivery.

Tasting Notes

Nose: A deeply layered expression of dried fruits, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and ripe black cherries. Completed with subtle waves of gentle wood smoke, polished leather and cloves.

Palate: A luxuriously full and silky smooth taste, with memories of past releases in every nuanced note. Evolving from deep dried fruit notes to rich fruitcake, dates, raisins and stewed apples, before giving way to dry oaky notes, with subtle hints of bitter chocolate and peat.

Finish: Complex, memorable, and exquisitely long-lasting.
