Product Description

A Cognac that celebrates the Louis XV's decision to grant a young Rémy Martin the right to plant new vines on his land (banned in France at the time) with the Accord Royal in 1738. It's said that the Cognac was enjoyed at the King's court at the time, with Rémy having planted his first vineyard in 1724.

Highlights

  • Behind its regal appearance lie mellow and rich flavours that are smooth and well-balanced on the palate.
  • This is an authentic cognac, deeply rooted in the terroir and tradition once honoured by the French king himself.
  • This robust cognac sits between the VSOP and the XO and is a great introduction to the more premium cognacs.
  • 70cl bottle size.
  • 40% ABV.

Serving Instructions

Tasting Notes

Nose: Generous notes of plum and fig jam rounded with intense oaky notes of toffee and toasted bread.

Palate: The mellowness of butterscotch, baked spices with hints of dark chocolate.

Finish: Exceptionally round with a creamy aftertaste and concentrated nutty aromas imparted by a careful blend of eaux-de-vie aged in toasted French oak casks.
